In an effort to ease fears about the aviation industry and the flight attendant job market, our objective is to educate our clients about the nature of the industry. We hope to discourage panic and encourage the disheartened to continue to pursue the goal of becoming a flight attendant.

Several airlines have recently filed for bankruptcy, pursued mergers and otherwise ceased operating. It is important to know, however, that there are still quite a few airlines that are currently hiring. Due to the downsizing of several airlines, the flight attendants from those airlines are once again seeking employment, and you will now be competing with those flight attendants for the fewer number of jobs available. But do not despair – that does not mean that they will necessarily be chosen over someone with no airline experience. Many airlines prefer to hire new people, as it is sometimes easier to teach a new candidate than to try to re-educate someone who has learned at a different airline. And not all those furloughed flight attendants will be returning to the industry, especially if they have to give up their hard-earned seniority.

However, with fewer jobs available now, the competition is greater than ever. Job-seekers with preparation usually fare much better than those who are unprepared and we can help you navigate those treacherous waters and compete effectively in the interview process. The U.S. Occupational Handbook states that applicants who attend programs that offer Flight Attendant training may “have an advantage over other applicants”.

Airlines save money by hiring people that have a good chance of succeeding in their tough training; they know who we are, and they know that our students have the preparation they need make it all the way through. 95% of our students get jobs right away, and you could be on the way to your dream job in the sky as a student of Flight Attendant Express.

In conclusion, the airline industry is cyclical, with ups and downs as common as take-offs and landings! Do not be dismayed or distracted by what you hear from the news media, and be assured that things always turn around in the aviation world. Those who are determined have the best chance of succeeding in this exciting industry.
